ScrExercise is the actual script used by Pinnacle Software to verify that the Parse-O-Matic Scripting commands are working properly. We run this script after we make changes to the Parsing or Scripting engines, to ensure that the commands are functioning correctly.
The "Test Flag" input box is normally left blank; it is used by Pinnacle Software during the testing process.
To try out this script, use any text input file ù it only reads the first line. The output (when everything is working fine) is simply a tidy list of scripting commands and concepts.
You can refer to the script file if you are ever in doubt about the way that a scripting command should be used. Be forewarned, though: since this script was created to thoroughly test the Parse-O-Matic technology, it is deliberately designed to use a wide variety of scripting techniques. As a result, it may be a bit difficult to understand.
The script uses Advanced Scripting commands, which require the use of the Advanced Scripting License (explained in the documentation). However, you can try out Advanced Scripting commands at no charge for 30 days.
